What is Short Term Disability (STD) Insurance?

Short-Term Disability (STD) insurance is a benefit for temporary disability due to sickness or injury that occurs off the job. You will receive a payment to spend however you wish – to help cover everyday expenses. Humana Income Protector plan pays in addition to any existing disability coverage you may have.

Why Should I Get STD Insurance?

Becoming disabled even for a short period of time can be devastating emotionally and financially. Some people do not have enough accrued vacation and sick time or savings set aside to rely on. Did you ever think about what would happen to you or your family if you suddenly lost the ability to bring home a paycheck?
